The Wii Console is Still Popular
Many serious video gamers and others are now declaring that the Nintendo Wii console system has had its best days, since there is no reason to buy one and that people have all bought already. But not so fast! The Nintendo Wii is nowhere near dead, it's just getting started, with plenty of people considering buying one.
Anyone can have a blast with the Wii. Lots of families are buying this system, since there's something for any age. For example, the Nintendo Wii Fit is a prime example, with its balance board, as it lets players practice yoga, strength training, or start a weight loss program. More games are coming out for the Wii Fit as well, such as EA Sports Active, wit more active challenges for just about any player.
There are plenty of excellent reasons to buy a Wii console. First, it's really simple to get started, plug in a few cables, and set up the remote sensor, and off you go. You can be completely new to gaming and still get it set up right out of the box. It's easy to play even for the smallest kids. Games are available from very easy like Mario Party 8, for young kids, up to more challenging like Zelda Twilight Princess.
To take advantage of the new MotionPlus technology, Nintendo has also released a brand new updated version of Wii Sports, called Wii Sports Resort. Nintendo is keeping things fresh by continuing its innovation and coming up with new ways to use the Wii. Another newly released item is the Wii MotionPlus, an accessory that attaches to the Wii controller and makes it more sensitive to every movement.
For anyone who is still thinking about buying a Nintendo Wii console, the new Wii Fit bundle could be perfect. It includes everything you need including the console, and is packaged with the Sports Resort game and the MotionPlus. You can also choose Wii bundles with plenty of other combinations, packaging the console with sports games, kids games, even games like Mario Kart for Wii.
Last but not least, there are hundreds of great downloadable games available through on the Wii Channel. If you have wireless set up at home, you can download games using Wii points, games like Super Mario and Donkey Kong from old arcade games, plus new games developed just for Wii like My Life As A King and Defend Your Castle. More than ever Nintendo is making the Wii console reach a whole new level, still fun for people of any age or experience, and it will be that way for a long time to come!
Should You Get The New Wii Sports Resort?
This week, Nintendo releases one of the hot new Wii games of the year - the new Wii Sports Resort, based on the old Wii Sports.
This version, Wii Sports Resort, updates the old Wii Sports game that came with many Wii console packages when the Wii console was first released. Sports Resort has some new games, and also includes new features to take advantage of the Wii MotionPlus accessory, which is an accessory for the Wii controller that provides lots more control for the motion sensitive Wiimote controller. This new sports Wii game includes 12 different sports, including some new ones like archery, jet skiing, sky diving, and sword dueling.
Some of the early reviews have said the new games take advantage of the technology really well, but might not go far enough, because they don't offer a longer experience with the new MotionPlus technology. With the new games like swordplay and archery, the features of the better control are great examples of use of the MotionPlus technology, and also the older games like bowling and golf have been tweaked to make them a whole lot better in this version. Some reviewers though were somewhat disappointed with the fact that technical issues caused trouble, like having to recalibrate the controller constantly by setting it down on a level surface in between games. They also found that not all games, such as wakeboarding and flying a plane, are as interesting as the swordplay and archery games for example.
Some gamers might be bored with more sports, finding that the mini games are not be as much fun, and the games from the old version, like bowling and golf, don't add much. Still, using the new controller accessory means there's something new to try here, and improve the quality of game play. So, at least for practicing and trying to improve your score, it sounds like it's still worth buying. The Wii Sport Resort package comes with the Wii MotionPlus accessory included, so the $49.99 price tag might be worth it (the MotionPlus retails for $19.99 by itself). Right now, get Wii Sports Resort discounted at Amazon, with free shipping, for $46.99.
Our take is that ultimately, it is probably a good idea to get Wii Sports Resort to add to your Wii games collection and practice using the new Wii MotionPlus accessory.
Wii Console Is Your Best Game Console
Did you know that even with the recession, the Wii console is still selling fast? Units are being boosted by new items available with the Wii: The Wii Fit, with the balance board, is a huge hit; Wii games like Raving Rabbids, Da Blob, Wii Music are big hits with the whole family, and even some of the traditional "gamer" games like Call of Duty are now available for the Wii.
It's true that the Nintendo Wii may not have all the graphics capability, or online gaming features, that other systems like the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 have, but for the amount of family friendly fun, the Wii console still has the best deal.
But the bottom line is, if you're still on the fence about buying a Wii console, think about it this way: A trip to the movies costs $30-60 for tickets and snacks. A Wii console can give you years of fun for just 4-5 trips to the movies. Plus, with so many great online games, free Wii game downloads, and game rental services (so you don't have to buy them until you try them), a Wii console is a really good investment in family time.
We're working on adding some listings for cheap Wii games, along with reviews, so if you want to find out what are the best selling games and where to get them cheaply, stay tuned.
Find The Best Wii Bundle Deals Now
If you've been shopping for the best Wii bundles, you've probably seen a huge variety of Wii bundle combinations. Buying a Wii bundle is the absolute best way to get a great deal on a Nintendo Wii game system. You also get the best Wii console deals because it will include the Wii console, the Wii controller as well as a nunchuk. However, you can buy a Wii bundle that includes several games, and up to four extra Wii controllers and nunchuks. Since a Wii controller and nunchuk combination runs about $60 at a retail store, you'll find that a bundle with extra controllers saves money.
Along with multiple controllers, a Wii bundle can include just about any combination of games you can think of. Many bundles include the Wii Sports game and Wii Play game. Wii Sports includes tennis, boxing, bowling, golf, and baseball. Wii Play includes billiards, target practice, several racing games, and a Wii version of a tank battle game.
So how do you find the best deal on a Wii bundle? Just a quick look online shows that there are dozens of other Wii bundle combinations available. Some of these include a variety of other games including Madden NFL 2009 football or Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess games, and can also include up to four controllers. Try pricing a combination of accessories and games individually, and you'll quickly see that the bundle price is much lower than buying everything individually.
Extremely popular for the past year is anywhere you'll find Wii Fit bundles best deals. This includes the Wii console, the Wii Fit balance board, and a variety of games for using your new Wii Fit. Most retail stores, both online and off, were unable to keep these in stock over the holidays at all! But bundles were available at auction sites, and still are.
Most amazing is that the inventory of Wii bundle deals available online is just huge. You can literally find almost the specific, exact systems you want - whatever combination of accessories and games you're looking for is probably available among the thousands of items for sale.
You'll find the best deal on Wii bundle is online - and especially at eBay. Check the Buy It Now prices - sometimes you can find a great deal before anyone even bids one it.
What Is The Best Nintendo Wii Price
Now that the holidays are over, folks are shopping for a Nintendo Wii price that is lower than the higher prices from a couple of months ago. It makes sense to shop for a deal right now, since sellers have been lowering prices but you'll find the lower Nintendo Wii price will be online, on auction sites.
So what's a good price for a Wii console? Many retailers have single player Wii console systems for about $250. Some have prices listed a little higher, or put them on sale for just below $250 to reduce inventory.
But better prices can be found if you buy Wii online. Auction sites have brand new, unopened systems for around $200, which often comes with free shipping and no sales tax. That's a huge discount, nearly 20%.
An even better deal is buying a Wii bundle. Wii bundles include the console, at least one and usually more than one contorller and nunchuk pair, plus any variety of games. Lately many Wii Fit bundles are listed, since the Wii Fit is the latest rage for owners of this system.
When you buy a Wii bundle, you can also expect savings of 20% or even more over retail prices if you buy everything separately. It's really unlikely you'll find similar Wii bundle deals in any retail store, as the variety is just impossible to keep wii in stock.
