Is A Wii Console On Ebay A Real Deal?
It's true - many buyers find good deals on EBay, so if you're thinking of buying a Wii, looking for a Wii console EBay deal makes sense. Or does it? When you buy on EBay, you need to be aware of what you're getting into, and make sure you consider whether you're really getting a better deal than you can find from other online retailers. Here are some things to beware of when buying a Wii console on EBay:
1. What are you really getting? Many sellers now have this practice of blaring out that you're getting dozens of games with your console - when in reality, you are getting ONE or TWO games, each of which has 12 activities! So don't be fooled and think you're really getting more games.
2. Are the item included truly worth the price? There are some seller who are throwing in lots of accessories with their Wii deals, but the truth is you can find those cheap Wii accessories at the local dollar store. Make sure you know the value of what you're buying first.
3. What are the shipping costs? Some sellers avoid paying EBay fees by putting a high shipping price on their item. If you're paying $30 or more for shipping, what is your total price going to be? After you add up all the costs, is it still a deal?
4. Can you trust the seller? EBay has taken a lot of steps to protect buyers, but it's not fail safe. Make sure your seller has a legitimately high feedback score. Where are they located? Do they offer a return policy? Read some of the feedback, you might be glad you did. Sometimes a deal from someone you don't know turns out to be a ripoff.
5. Can you get just what you want? Some sellers load their Wii bundles with tons of accessories, multiple controller and games, etc. First, do you really need all of those? And second, are you really getting a lower price than if you bought them all separately? Do your homework, it may be that you're not getting a good deal after all.
Auction sites like EBay can sometimes have good deals, but in the end, the final auction prices are almost the same as you'd pay at retailers like Amazon - without the security you'd have from a big store. Be sure to shop around, and don't just assume that a Wii console on EBay is always a deal.
What Are Today’s Wii Deals
Lately Nintendo has been lowering prices on the Wii console, and shipping Wii bundles at lower prices too. They have been working hard to keep their numbers up heading into the end of the year probably; in June Nintendo had their slowest sales ever. However it's true that in this economy, sales are slumping for most game console companies. But these slumping sales mean there are Wii deals out there for buyers who have been holding out for good prices.
The best deals are on the console bundle. Nintendo released its black Wii console by offering either a black or white system bundle including Wii Sports Resort, the Wii MotionPlus, and adding in the original Wii Sports game. Most retailers have this bundle for under $200. Because the console price was lowered, there are also bundles with more components that also have lower prices, like the Wii console and Wii Fit bundle, which can be found for under $300 and includes games and accessories.
Other Wii deals are the controller bundles for the Wii, which are a good way to save on pieces you need to play. The Wii controller comes standard with the console, as well as one nunchuck, but if you want to play a multiplayer game, you need at least one extra controller and nuchuck. Sold separately, these items add up to a suggested retail price of around $60 together. But you can buy a Wii controller and nunchuck combo for under $40 when youbuy both together. an if you buy abundle that includes the MotionPlus, a $20 value, you can get all three pieces in abundle for around $75, which saves you t least $10 or more.
Other Wii sales are on Wii games, which are often discounted in pre-release, but we have also seen big discounts of 25% or more on some popular games such as Boom Blox, LEGO Harry Potter, and more. Some Nintendo games are still near the $49.99 suggested retail price, but at stores like Amazon you can usually find a discount of 5% or more on these deals.
This summer, as Nintendo and retailers try to clear out inventory for the coming holiday season, check around and you might find some of the best Wii console deals on consoles, bundles, accessories and games.
The Trick To Find The Best Wii Bundles
Shoppers looking for the Nintendo Wii console have no doubt come across the Wii bundles being offered by retailers everywhere. It can get truly confusing - do I need two controllers? Three? How about nunchucks? Should I get the extra game? Do I need all of those? If I don't get it now, will I regret it later? Am I really saving money with this?
The trick to finding Wii bundles that fit your needs is to start with the basic system. The base Wii console system include the console, a controller and nunchuck. Nearly all units now also come with Wii Sports. As of last year, Nintendo released its new accessory, the Wii MotionPlus, which helps players refine their movement when using the motion sensing controller. This isn't included with all systems yet, although Nintendo has released its own bundle which includes the MotionPlus, and its new game, Wii Sports Resort, which requires the MotionPlus add on.
So stay with me here: The Nintendo Wii bundle now on the market has the console, controller and nunchuck, Wii MotionPlus, as well as both Wii Sports and Wii Sport Resort games. This is a good package to get started. But you may need another controller if you want to play with a second person. Here's where the bundles get interesting.
If you shop around on Amazon or EBay, you'll find a wide variety of bundles with all manner of combinations. You can get systems with two or four controllers. You can get systems that have the Wii Fit bundles with the Wii console, along with fitness games. You can also find bundle deals that have the kitchen sink - Wii Fit, a variety of other games like Mario Kart, extra controllers, MotionPlus, and so on. In order to figure out which is the best Wii bundle for you, you need to figure out what you're planning to us it for, and how many people are likely to be using it. If you have a family of four, for example, will you be referee when more than two family members want to play? Consider extra controllers. Do you have younger kids? Make sure the games are appropriate (which by the way both Wii Sports games are fine for all ages). Are you planning to get the Wii to workout at home? The Wii Fit bundle is available everywhere, and sometimes has other non Fit games with it too.
Once you have figure out what pieces you need, you can check the prices. A controller plus nunchuck sells for around $30 as separate pieces. Many if not most Wii games retail for $49.99. If you add up the pieces and compare that to the bundle price, are you savingany money? Most likely you are. Bundle prices can be ten or twenty percent off suggested retail. But if you're not saving any money, maybe start out with fewer pieces, and add on later. You can always buy the accessories and games you want at a later time!
If you have a budget for your purchase, you can easily find a bundle that fits your needs. The trick to buying the right Wii bundle is to make sure you buy the right one for you.
Nintendo Wii Remote – Best Accessories
The reason the Nintendo Wii is so popular is the infamous Nintendo Wii Remote, also known as the WiiMote. With this simple motion sensitive device, Nintendo turned its former game system engine, the Gamecube, into one of the top selling game consoles ever.

There isn't much to say for the Wii's internal workings, since it really is just the Gamecube engine. That has caused some gamers to poo-poo the Wii as it' s not a high definition game system, and doesn't have the fancy graphics of other game consoles.
Yet the Wii has thrived because of the simple motion-controlled remote it created. Right now, the controller has buttons on it similar to the controllers used by the Gamecube, but also has the motion component. It can be used in conjunction with the nunchuck attachment, which many games also require. despite that games need both pieces, they are sold separately. However you can also get a wii controller bundle that has both the controller and the nunchuk in one package, and will save you a few bucks.
Recently Nintendo also released the Wii MotionPlus, which has refined the control a player has over the motion of the controller. Instead of jerky, imprecise movements, the MotionPlus helps smooth out motions the play executes. Not all games use the MotionPlus, only certain games are made to use the new accessory, so make sure you know when you buy a game whether you need this or not.
Buying each of the three pieces - the controller, nunchuk and MotionPlus - when purchased separately will cost about $80 to $85 depending on where you buy. However there are discounted bundles from many retailers, especially Amazon, where buying all three together in a bundle will cost under $75, a savings of about 10%. Knowing you will likely need at least two and most likely all three of these for game play, it's a good idea to save and get them all at once.
Where To Find Best Wii Deals Online
When searching for the best price for Wii console systems or other Nintendo Wii products, you're right to be checking online. Retail stores of course stock the Wii and other Wii accessories and games, but at least for the hardware, you will have a hard time beating online prices by going to a store. Some brick and mortar stores like Wal-Mart will offer low prices, but they may only have the basic console in stock, and not the variety of Wii bundles or other Wii deals you're looking for. Check out the online prices and packages before you head to the store, so you know you're paying the lowest possible price.

My great-grandchildren thoroughly enjoy the WII games, so their satisfaction mitigates my own disappointment in failure to satisfactorily stream movies with NetFlix using the WII. So far the movies still hang up every 10 minutes.
Great, if your brain is made of mashed potatoes...

This is perhaps the worst console system I've ever owned. Once you get past the games that come with the Wii (sports) it would seem game development is aimed at 7 year-olds. There is no such thing as a strategy game, or anything else that might involve thinking. This console is great if you like anime art style. Personally, I find it insipid, and since Wii game development seems to be dominated by anime, I find this platform repellent. I'm probably going to sell the unit in eBay and pick up something that has a more diverse game dev base.

My granddaughter wanted one for her birthday, so being loving g'parents, but knowing nothing about video games, we bought this for her.
She, and her friends have been having a ball with it. I figure it's money well spent!!
When you shop online for the best Wii deals online, be sur eyou're comparing apples to apples. Sometimes sellers will charge and extra $100 and throw in a lot of accessories. it might look like you're getting a lot of items, but you can likely get a lot of these extras at the dollar store for just a couple of bucks each. Other sellers may throw in a lot of Wii games but are they really good games, or can you find them in the discount bin for $5 at the store?
Once you see the full bundle and all the pieces, then compare what it would cost to buy them all separately. If you're getting the Wii console plus Wii Fit, separately those items would cost a total of $199 and $89 for a total of about $298. If the bundle price is just $249, then you know that's a pretty good deal.
The other benefit of shopping online is that you have so many places to purchase from. Auction sites, big retailers, and online-only retailers like Amazon. Be sure you're getting a good return policy, low or free shipping, and read the customer reviews and descriptions before you buy. This helps you to make sure you're completely knowledgeable about what you're getting before you buy, and reduces your disappointment or any returns once you get the item.
The best Wii deals online will always beat out the best deals in stores. Shop online, but do your homework so you get the best price.
Choose The Best Wii Package For You
The best Wii package if you're looking for a Wii bundle is going to be the package that includes the items you want to use. There are so many varieties of Wii packages, you can virtually make up the perfect Wii bundle for you. With a bundle package, you get the console, and one controller and nunchuck, which are what is included in the base package sold by Nintendo. The base package also comes with Wii Sports, the game with multiple sports activities.
Nintendo released a bundle of its own, with all of the above items, but also the Wii MotionPlus, and the game Wii Sports Resort. This bundle package comes with either a white console or a black Wii console, for under $200. It does not include additional controllers, but it's also possible to buy controller bundles, which come with the main remote control, a nunchuck and a Wii MotionPlus for a savings of about $5 over the prices if you bought each piece separately.
But what makes up the best Wii package if you want more than the basics listed above? First, you want to decide what accessories you want to get. If this is the first Wii console you're buying, consider whether you want a bundle that has more than one controller. Once you start playing, everyone else will want to get into the act! Getting an extra controller and accessories with your bundle means two or more people can play right out of the box.
The next thing you want to consider is what games you want to play. Bundles and package deals come with all types of games, from Call of Duty, to Madden NFL, to Mario Kart and New Super Mario Bros. Good bundles for younger kids include Mario Party 8 with all kinds of games that even the youngest kids can plan. And of course, the most popular bundle is the Wii console with Wii Fit bundle, which has the Wii Fit balance board, and a variety of games, such as EA Sports Active, to get you started on a fitness program right away.
If you want to find the best Wii package deal it's going to be a more customized decision based on what you want to do when you get your new Wii. Shop around online and you'll find a huge variety to choose from.

- A television shopping channel has the basic Nintendo bundle, and for an extra $100 they are also including a couple additional games, and a bunch of accessories, like steering wheel, sword, etc. holders for the controller. A note: you can find a lot of these type of items at your local five dollar discount store.
- An online auction site has plenty of deals that include top games in addition to Wii Sport Resort, plus additional controllers. These deals may or may not include Wii MotionPlus, so check the details, you need MotionPlus to play some games.
- The Wii console plus Wii Fit bundle, which includes two games, controllers, and nunchucks
- A Wii bundle with Mario Kart plus accessories, two controllers, but not the Wii MotionPlus
Check deals online because retail stores have limited inventory, and online you can shop many different sellers to find the best combination of accessories, games and prices.
Wii Console In Black – Now Available
As most people know, Nintendo has release the popular Wii console in black. It's been a long time coming - there's been a general demand for it,but has Nintendo missed the window? While it waited to release this item, other competing game systems have been available in black for some time, and also have lowered priced to attract buyers. Did Nintendo wait too long?
It's not likely. The fact is, Wii owners who play the Wii console, probably have one or more of the other consoles as well, especially if they are serious players. Finding the right color console hasn't likely been the main reason someone buys this console or that. But if a buyer has been thinking about buying a second system, or needs a replacement, it's certainly nice to have an option to get it in black.
The prices have come down too so that Nintendo has promoted the black Wii console and the white Wii console in bundle packages. The Wii console black best price has been this bundle, at $199, which includes the console, a controller and nunchuck, the Wii MotionPlus accessory, and both Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort, the newest sports game that requires the MotionPlus to guide a player's motion through new games and sports. This game includes activities like jet skiing, swordplay, sky diving, biking and more. Both games are fun, and with this bundle pricing, players can get started right away.
Shopping around online for the black Wii bundle, the prices are similar at the biggest stores, but we're betting you could see some further discounts toward the holidays. It's more likely that new games and features will be released in time for gift buying and people heading off to college pick up a console to take with them. You can also find bundles that include two controllers and nunchucks, but there are just controller bundles with the controller, nunchuck and MotionPlus which can save about $8 over the price for separate pieces. Accessories and games will always have a bit of a savigns when purchased in Wii bundles.
Check out the prices for the black Wii, you can definitely save some cash.
